So I am at work right now. I am supposed to be reading and summarizing journal articles, but that is just so boring. We got our bacteria a couple of days ago, but now we don't have anything to put them in! We were going to make some media to grow in, but we don't have any tryptone, which is a protein supplier for bacteria. So now we have to wait until that comes in. When it does, we will FINALLY have actual work to do.

So here I am sitting in my IDE 20 class again. I really don't like this class, cause we have to do group work. My group is pretty cool, though. I get along with them. I would probably hang out with them outside of class. Ooohhh... We are learning about iPods for soem reason. Oh gross, the teacher uses a hanky... Hankies are so gross. I wouldn't want to reuse a dirty rag to blow my nose. The career fair is tomorrow. Adam is going to help me work on my resume tonight. I need to add my current job to it. My nailds are pretty and silver right now. Adam wanted me to paint my nails silver, and at first I didn't want to, because I though it would be bad looking. But I am glad I did it, because it looks pretty cool. Ugh. This class is so boring. Just really want to take a nap right now, but I don't get out of class until 11.

Last night was the season premeire of House, which is the best show of all times (with the exception of the X-files, of course). At the end of the last season, they "got rid" of 3 of the characters, but I know they are coming back, because their names are in the opening credits. And as awesome as Hugh Laurie is, House just wouldn't be the same without the other characters.

Yay! We have internet at the hosue now! We also have two bathrooms! I turn 21 this weekend! I am so bored right now. I am in IDE 20 and we are learning about "team working agreements". It isn't going to matter, the team will have to work around my schedule anyway. I am taking 17 hours and I have a job. It is a cool job though! I am working wil a grad student on BioFuel Cells. We are being funded by the Air Force, we have deadlines and stuff. Yesterday I cleaned the dark room I will be working in. The bacteria that we will be harvesting electricity from apparently don't like light, but they love mud. I also have my own office in the lab, which is pretty cool.

Lol. I am such a dork. On Monday, Adam and I were walking out of the house to go to class. I was stepping off the little concrete step onto the ground ( a total of a 4" drop) and I sprained my ankle! It swelled up and everything. Yesterday it was still hurting so I went to the student health center to see if I could get some pain killers. When I got there the nurse wanted me to wait for the doctor, just to make sure that it was just sprained and not broken (I didn't think it was broken as I had been walking on it for a full day). So the doctor looks at it and decided that I need x-rays. So I had to go get x-rays for my sprained ankle...and I didn't get any painkillers. Now my ankle hurts and I'm hungry.

So We had a reading assignment for one of my classes which involved reading pages 1-19 in the book. Earlier I started to read it and it turns out I was missing pages 1-6! So I went to the bookstore and read the first six pages in the books there and then just put it back on the shelf.

I tried to take this class two semesters ago, but it was awful. Unfortunately, I need it to graduate. Next I have a ceramics class, so maybe that won't be so bad. Then I am done for the day! Yay! Adam and I bought some cheap wine from Wal-Mart last night to celebrate moving into the house. It wasn't too bad either... for $3 wine. We don't have the internet, tv, or a phone line at the house yet. Hopefully that will soon be mended. I guess we are going to be stuck playing Adam's Wii... darn. Ha. Not like I have homework or anything.

The next couple weekends Adam and I are going to be going down to the house to work on it. Also on Aug. 10-13 we will be going on a float trip with my parents and sister and cousins. It is going to be a lot of fun. Tomorrow I have to drive down to Rolla to see if I can get a job in the ceramics department. Dr. Dogan seems to think that I will be able to. I hope so. I don't want to end up having to work at Steak & Shake or something. That would suck. Only 33 more days until my (and Sara's) b-day! Yay! So excited.

We also went down to the house and tiled about 1/4 of the basement floor. Tiling is a lot of work. Charlotte, Justing, Alex, Adam and I then walked to campus so we could get an idea of how long of a walk it is from our house to campus. We determined it was about an 11 minute walk from the house to a building near where all of us have class. Anyway, here is a picture of the house in all of its glory.
